CANARY RED
The Red Canary, was obtained through hybridization with Cardinalino Venezuela. This variety, therefore, is not the result of a mutation that has turned yellow in the red, but it is due to differences in the ability of the Canary acquired by Cardinalino to synthesize carotenes in red rather than yellow. The two colors, therefore, at the genetic level, are considered equal and at the same time alternative. The manifestation of the red, however, is subject, to get the best tone, the administration of synthetic coloring matter in the suit, mixed in food or drinking water. The dyes most commonly used are: beta carotene, the red carofil and canthaxanthin, which every farmer takes a dose and represent different ports according to their own experiences and habits, and also depending on the variety of the canary to color. A good red canary must submit a color purity without tending to orange or purple. Important of course is the uniformity of color without hypo-or hyper colored pieces, together with a brilliance of color itself.
must pay attention to the helmsman and the flight feathers (tail and wings), they are of different colors: some white, such as birth, because of accidental falls and other red coloratesi effect of the dye used during molting. Each farmer must decide whether to paint the birth, avoiding the unfortunate problem of the color of the helmsman and rowers, or begin staining and allow 35/40 days that they remain clear, making sure that none of them fall, from keep in mind that the canaries in pilot, and flight feathers white, with the same score, are preferable to those with the same color. The latest trend, however, is that of those already in the small nest. Of course the color from birth is possible only for categories of Frost and intense and not for the mosaics from which it is claimed that the helmsman and rowers are clear, otherwise incur heavy penalties.
